Very good food and great service

This is by far the best Mexican food I've had in a longtime. Really delicious food that tasted authentic like at I was eating at home in Mexico. The service was nearly quick and excellent as well. comida era realmente delicioso y tenía un sabor auténtico. El servicio era excelente. Nos sentimos como en casa en Mexico🙂

I’ve been eating here for many years. The food is absolutely delicious! I love the soup they serve in the mornings before our meal, However, my good friend and I went there for lunch today , and the service wasn’t good at all. There was a group of men sitting at the bar drinking beer and wine with the owner. The 2 or 3 waitresses who were working weren’t really paying attention to the other customers because they were too busy attending to the men at the bar. We waited at least 30 minutes for our food. The waitress finally reminded the guys in the kitchen about our food. This is the first time I have a bad experience at Lo Mejor De Jalisco.

Small restaurant our waitress was kinda moody and the meat seasoning wasn't the best. Not the worst Mexican restaurant I've been to but definitely not the best either.

Came in and felt a little weird cause I'm not Hispanic but I chose a booth to sit down anyways. The waitress was very approachable and nice. She handed me some water, chips and salsa then eventually a bowl of soup! Definitely made me feel very welcomed! A hidden gem FOR SURE! I am amazed that this place isn't always packed. It has some really great food and a lot to choose from

Authentic Mexican food. This is a working man's restaurant. No fancy fru fru. They have an extensive menu and it's all good.

Wonderful! Everything was delicious and surprise Mariachi band as well (Sunday night).

I had three tacos ala cart, pollo, el pastor and carne asada all three were very good with lots of meat in them. I would recommend this restaurant and I will eat there again

We haven't been here in a while but we came in this evening and it was just as wonderful as we remembered! The folks are friendly and the food is FRESH! I recommend the tamales, mixed fajitas and the staples--guacamole and salsa. The salsa is so delicious....spicy and flavorful! You know you're supporting a small local business owner when you dine here.

The onlu thing the need to improve is las micheladas, they make it too spicy!!!

Friendly staff, live mariachi, great mariscos. Couldn't ask for more. Be warned, It is a small place so expect to wait for tables on busy nights especially weekends.

Good service , good food

The food is the closest to what I cook at home. The prices are decent. They do to go trays for parties. The staff is diligent and friendly. Warning: When they say is hot they are not kidding. The best in Santa Maria.

Fantastic food and service.

Food was overly salty waitress was absent other than to take our order deliver it and eventually bring the check cook was loud and heard to be rude making inappropriate comments in spanish when he read the ticket asking for no beans on a plate...i would not recommend this place especially when el torro is next door and they are A+ ....my husbands leftovers from el torro were better than the food at jaliscos

Amazing flavors and great food

Amazing! I’m a truck driver and been to all kinds of mexican restaurants across the USA. This place is in the very top! The cashier lady was super nice and the food was great. This place felt very family oriented. The red salsa is also one of my favorites. If you are around, I highly recommend this place. They have a vast array of items in their menu. The only thing I wish is that they had more drink items (or maybe i missed them? I don’t know)

Very good food and reasonably priced.

I rate this place four stars only because the food is delicious and it's authentic Mexican food. The servers are nice as well. This place has been around way before my time, it's a small place always crowded with people, which is a good thing but at the same time they should really consider remodeling to make it bigger or at least updating the inside. Floors, tables, seating are very old, makes it look like a dirty place.

Garlic shrimp & shrimp fajitas - delicious! Very small restaurant. Only room for thirty some people. Food was hot and flavorful.

Service, food, portions, and atmosphere were all excellent. My vegetable salad and shrimp were perfect. The salsa had some kick. The waitress had excellent timing and a great attitude. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The value was excellent. Don’t hesitate to give it a go. One of the best restaurants and food in town. their catfish is fried to perfection. Rice and beans are very good. Enchiladas and chile rellenos are the best.

Came in for breakfast after a long nightshift. Restaurant was practically empty, just 2 other people at the breakfast bar. Restaurant is very clean and the restrooms are located outside on the side of the building. Ordered the Colorado burrito with a chicken taco. Delicious sauce on the burrito. The meat is so tender and flavorful. The table chips and salsa were warm and mildly spicy. Coffee was so fresh! Amelia was our waitress and did an excellent job! Will return!

Traditional Mexican for with great service and great atmosphere. You walk in and you are welcomed with a very awesome Mexican family style restaurant. You can sit at the bar, in a booth or at a table. The menu is huge and has over 100 traditional mexican food plates to order from. Their spices and flavor are spot on. They have a lot of mexican bottled beers to choose from as well. My new favorite in town!

The best Mexican food on the central coast... possibly the best on earth. I love this place! Go there tonight with your family and order their "Quatro Caminos" dinner. It is basically shrimp prepared four different ways: bacon-wrapped, grilled, fried and sauteed in this amazing red sauce they make. It comes on a large platter covered with peppers onions and carne asada, your choice of tortillas (flour or corn) and a side of rice and beans. If you haven't tried it, then you are definitely missing out. Go there. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

I without a doubt believe they have the best burritos in town. I had a carne asada with napales burrito and it was the best. The portions of meat, rice, and beans were great and the meat wasn't overly salted. The salsa was what brought it to another level. I'd recommend you come here for the food.
